Hello and welcome to Everybody Roar! My name is Kirsty Hulse and I am the founder of Roar! Training. I am filming this video for you today to introduce you to the magazine, to tell you why it exists and what we're really hoping that we can help you with. Before I do that I'll give you a bit of context and background on me.

I used to work in marketing and after many years working at various different companies in 2015, I set up my own agency. We experienced what you might call fast growth - within the first year we turned over a million dollars. We were working with large companies like Virgin Atlantic IBM Players, Accessorize and Avis, We had teams in the U. S. and The U. K.

We were global and we were growing and over this time not only did I constantly have imposter syndrome, but I also learned that the things that most contributed to my success were things that we don't get taught. I really believe it was my ability to collaborate, the ability to sell myself and my skills, to have confidence and to communicate. Those really were the mechanisms for my success.

In 2018 I founded Roar! - with a mission to level the professional playing field for everyone. I really wanted to help empower people, so you feel as though you have a voice that you can share, that you deserve success, that you have the skills already within you and that you can learn and grow to get to where you want to be.

Over this time, I have worked with thousands of people, helping them develop the techniques and the tools that they need to be able to really excel in their careers.

A couple of months ago my marketing team created some research and they spoke to hundreds of people in different sectors and different stages in their career. They found that 96% of us experience imposter syndrome, they found that over half of us say no to things that we actually want to do because we don't feel that we’re good enough.

We found that those of us that feel fully confident at work are a huge minority, and so I felt compelled to bring my training and my teaching to an even wider audience.

And so this is what this is, this is EverybodyRoar magazine. I'm aiming to build an empowerment platform where you have access to tools, techniques and experts so that everything that you read is practical.

I want to create a platform where you can come and read if you have a meeting and you're feeling a bit nervous. I want it to be something for you to go to if you're questioning yourself, we have self doubt or you have a professional problem and you're not sure how to collaborate.

I want Roar magazine to become the place that you can come and read and have some answers and some comfort.

I really want this to be a safe space. I want it to be based on fact and I want it to be objective. I want you to feel as though this is a trusted resource where you know that the information is valid and vetted.

And most importantly, I want to create it for you so that you can have something that helps and support your career and your growth. I would love to hear how we get on. This is new and it's growing and it's a moving feast.

So any feedback or thoughts or suggestions? Please feel free to get in touch with me.

Thank you for being here and enjoy.
